as promised back again.....
I don't think i mentioned something about Herbie the pig, he was free....watch out for the free animals, there is always a reason. He was wild, I took him to the auction house in Springfield as i mentioned; however there was a ex-vet there would let me bring him in to be auctioned. He gave me some brochures on wild pigs and the diseases they might have, we sold him in the parking lot to a man for $25, I would have paid someone $25 to take him from me.

back again
I will try to post a quick note each morning, so here's the first of many (hopefully). I was looking over my past blogs, since my last post we got Herbie, he was hopefully successful in breeding our two pigs, we'll know closer to April. We took him and Rose the cow, our first milker tto the auction at Springfield about a month ago now. Rose was not able to calf anymore we think, she just couldn't get and stay breed. This winter has been quite cold, the rye won't grow, so hay has been a necessity. In saying that, we had some hay for the cows that was kept in a low spot at my wife's grandparents, bless him for giving us hay, who knew it would soak up some much water. To make a long story short the hay made the cows sick, they are all well now; however we are having to purchase hay. We have a new cow as well, another milker, her name is Sugar, she is a Jersey, first year milking, so she'll be around for a while. We have loads of milk- Got Milk? =)
